School Communications
Wabash City Schools works hard to communicate with our parents and community. School websites have a news feed/blog for news and announcement. Each building uses Facebook and other social media channels as well as emails from Skyward. Skyward is for parents and guardians, but our social media pages welcome all. Below you will find links to our Facebook pages for each building and our district.
WCS uses ParentSquare to send calls and text alerts for emergencies and other notifications. When parents and guardians use the signup link, they can also log in to the ParentSquare app or website to see posts from their student's teachers about class activities and events. WCS also uses several other programs, which can be a little confusing. The graphic below shows our 3 main software programs. Skyward is our student information system (SIS) which is essentially a database of all school information--student info, staff info, class schedules, grades, school lunch, etc. All buildings use Skyward. We have 2 Learning Management Systems (LMS) which are designed for student use (but guardians have access) to get assignments, class resources, or submit work. Finally, our communication system is ParentSquare. That will be used for ALL school communications in ALL buildings (aside from school bus communications).
