Free Computer Assembly Adventure Camp

Wabash Computer Assembly Adventure Camp logo

Introducing Wabash High School's Computer Assembly Adventure Camp! Designed for tech enthusiasts aged 12-18 from Wabash and surrounding counties, this immersive 3-day experience offers hands-on learning guided by industry professionals and educators. From understanding basic computer components to assembling a motherboard, students will dive deep into the world of technology, regardless of their prior knowledge level.

We plan to offer this camp in the future as well. The computers that are built during this camp and subsequent camps will go to our ultimate goal of building a state-of-the-art multimedia center at Wabash High School that is built by students, for students. If you would be willing to help us with this effort, here is a link to donate to our fund at the Community Foundation of Wabash County. We deeply appreciate your support!

Thanks to our major sponsors, The Don Wood Foundation and the Community Foundation of Wabash County, this camp is completely free for selected students. But hurry, the application deadline is June 14th, 2024! There will be a waitlist as well. Breakfast and lunch will be provided, and all necessary supplies will be given to participants. The application can be found on page 3 of the file below. Paper copies will also be available in the Wabash High School office.

By the end of the three day camp, students will gain valuable skills, including computer assembly, BIOS/UEFI configuration, and operating system installation. Plus, they'll feel empowered to explore further learning and potential career paths in technology. The camp schedule can be found on page 2 of the file below. Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity! Apply now and join us on July 9-11 at Wabash High School for an unforgettable adventure into the world of computers!
