OJ Neighbours Elementary Earns Recognition as an International Spanish Academy
Mr. Juan Lago, a representative from the Embassy of Spain, will be visiting Wabash to present OJ Neighbours Elementary's Dual Language Immersion program with an International Spanish Academy designation certificate. This designation reflects the high level of excellence achieved in OJ Neighbours Elementary's Dual Language Immersion program.
Mayor Scott Long states, "For more than six years, the Wabash City Schools' Dual Language Program has established itself as a premier bilingual education offering. Through native Spanish-speaking instruction, cultural experiences such as foreign exchange programs, bilingual summer camps, a Disney theatrical production, and community support, the program provides a comprehensive approach to developing proficiency in two languages. The City of Wabash is pleased that the school has received this distinguished designation from the Embassy of Spain and anticipates that the program will continue expanding opportunities for both students and the city."
